Why the hell would anyone want to learn email marketing?

Here's what I've been up to and interested in lately…

The Better Email Interview with camiah

cam and miah

I had a lot of fun interviewing camiah over on The Better Email blog. Cam and Miah are two of the most creative people I know and they share a lot of insights into that creativity, their collaboration, their email process, and even juggling family life with the demands of a small agency. Definitely worth the read.

Things of Interest

This article with Jenn Schiffer is one of the better things I've read online in a long while. She doesn't mince words and tears into the tech world, which feels absolutely necessary these days.

Khoi Vinh makes a great distinction between two commonly seen illustration styles (styles doesn't seem like the right word, but 🤷‍♂️). I love editorial illustration and think more companies and publications should embrace it to set themselves apart. One of the reasons I was sad to see such a backlash to Intercom's recent redesign.

Finally, this profile of polar explorer Henry Worsley is phenomenal, both in content and design. His will and determination was staggering. I can't imagine enduring through the expeditions he undertook.

What's on your mind?

Strong reactions to any of the above? Want to chat about the web, email, or anything else? Email me and let me know. I promise I'll reply as soon as I can.
